Blis Smart Platform is a digital marketing and advertising platform that helps the world’s top brands and media agencies engage consumers and drive them in-store. With real-world intelligence, powered by proprietary technologies, Blis drives business outcomes through ad campaign planning, activation and measurement.
Blis was using an outdated, Perl-based application, which over time failed to meet Blis’ ambitious plans. A modern tech stack was required to support massive accumulation of real-time location data, ease-of-creation of targeted ad campaigns, insightful analytics and precise reporting. Blis lacked the in-house talent required to achieve their big goals. This is where our mutual success story started.
We kicked off the Blis project with a team packed with full-stack engineers and QA specialists. For the second project phase, we scaled up the team, as deeper expertise was required for the application finalisation. We developed Blis’ Smart Platform from scratch, in strict compliance with provided functional and design requirements.
The project covered Java backend and Angular frontend development, manual testing of the frontend and automation testing of the backend business logic. To create personalised real-time dashboards with manageable insights, we integrated analytics and data science.
Also, we leveraged Blis’ proprietary algorithms for audience and location targeting, trend and insights reports, competitive crossover and loyalty analysis, sales and brand uplift reports.
By applying our best development practices, we delivered a fully-fledged, GDPR-compliant solution, which is easy to maintain and scale on demand.
